Issues: Women

Whether she is advocating for access to menstrual products, addressing the pervasive violence against women and girls, or fighting for and supporting a woman's constitutional right to make decisions about her own body, Grace has dedicated her career to empowering women and young girls within Queens and across America.

As a member of the House Appropriations Committee, she has fought, and will continue to fight, to make sure that federal funding reflects our values of uplifting and empowering women.

While in Congress, Grace has advocated for and passed historic legislation that empowered women across the nation. In this session alone, she supported the following vital pieces of legislation. She also authored and introduced legislation to strengthen protections for women and expand menstrual healthcare rights.

Grace has never been afraid to stand up to Republicans and far-right special interest groups who've repeatedly attempted to gut healthcare services vital to women, restrict access to reproductive care, and fought against Democratic efforts to get equal pay for equal work. She is proud of her record, and is excited to continue the fight in Washington.
