Rubio, Menendez, Scott Introduce Resolution Honoring the 35th Anniversary of U.S. Broadcasting to Cuba

U.S. Senators Marco Rubio (R-FL), Bob Menendez (D-NJ), and Rick Scott (R-FL) introduced a bipartisan Senate resolution celebrating the thirty-fifth anniversary of Radio and Television Martí, which is administered through the Office of Cuba Broadcasting (OCB). The resolution recognizes "the vital role that independent broadcasting to Cuba has served in providing uncensored, reliable, and accurate information to the Cuban people" and honors the work of the many "journalists, programming editors, technical support, and other employees at Radio and Television Martí" who work tirelessly to provide free and uncensored news in Cuba.

Rubio is Chairman of the Senate Foreign Relations Subcommittee on Western Hemisphere, Transnational Crime, Civilian Security, Democracy, Human Rights, and Global Women's Issues.
