U.S. Senator Mitch McConnell released the following statement tonight following the President's speech on Iraq:
"Tonight, the President clearly explained that, while there is much work still to be done in Iraq, this week's election was an important step forward in the War on Terror. Both the President and our troops in the field will continue to have my full support for this crucial mission."
