Today, the federal Department of Health and Human Services and the Centers for Disease Control put out a new grant for the Saginaw Chippewa Indian Tribe.
The grant of $86,926 will be used to help the Tribe's public health system with Coronavirus preparedness and response.
"This funding will help the Saginaw Chippewa Tribe fight the COVID-19 pandemic with more resources for prevention and mitigation," said Congressman John Moolenaar. "This has been a challenging time for tribal health care providers, just as it has been for rural providers, and that's why I voted for funding like this which will help keep people safe."
