Senator Tom Cotton (R-Arkansas) will today introduce a resolution calling for justice for George Floyd and opposing recent calls to defund the police. Senators Marsha Blackburn (R-Tennessee), Roy Blunt (R-Missouri), Kevin Cramer (R-North Dakota), Ted Cruz (R-Texas), Joni Ernst (R-Iowa), Josh Hawley (R-Missouri), Mitch McConnell (R-Kentucky), Martha McSally (R-Arizona), and Pat Toomey (R-Pennsylvania) are original co-sponsors of the resolution. Tomorrow, Senator Cotton plans to ask the Senate to pass the resolution by Unanimous Consent. The full text of the resolution can be found below.
