Congressman Diaz-Balart Returns from CODEL Trip to Afghanistan

WASHINGTON—Congressman Mario Diaz-Balart (R-FL) today returned from a Congressional delegation trip (CODEL) to Afghanistan where he had the opportunity to spend time with troops stationed there. The trip, which was headed by Congressman Steve Chabot (R-OH), was from Nov. 30-Dec. 5.

"I greatly admire our troops, who exhibit remarkable devotion and courage in leading us to victory in the War on Terror," Diaz-Balart said. "While in Afghanistan, I also was able to see for myself the impressive democratic steps Afghanis are making."
