Rep. Mike Rogers (R-Ala.), House Homeland Security Committee ranking member, today released the following statement on the Pensacola Naval Air Station terrorist's association with Al Qaeda.

"This significant development in the FBI's investigation highlights that foreign terrorist organizations such as Al Qaeda remain a persistent threat to our homeland security," Rogers said. "As we work to defeat this menace, the Department of Homeland Security and the Department of Defense must better coordinate to screen foreign military students who pose a risk to American servicemen and women."
