Congressman Ron Estes (R-Kansas) released a statement following the U.S. Department of Agriculture's (USDA) announcement of $1 billion in loan guarantees to help ag businesses meet the needs of the American supply chain.

"These loan guarantees ensure that our farmers, ranchers and growers can continue to feed Kansas and the rest of the United States during this challenging time," said Rep. Estes. "I am committed to working with the Trump Administration and my colleagues in Congress to support our ag producers."

In addition to loan guarantees, the USDA announced the Business and Industry CARES Act Program to extend loan eligibility and CARES Act funding to more ag producers in rural areas.
