It is unacceptable that this administration gave a $3M contract to a former Trump staffer who defrauded the Navajo Nation by delivering substandard PPE.

The Navajo Nation has been hard hit by COVID-19 and I have called on the administration to respond to this crisis and help save lives.

COVID-19 has laid bare the inequities that exist for Tribal nations, and it has been made worse by the administration's inadequate response.

Today, with NM & AZ members, I wrote to @IHSgov demanding answers on why a $3M contract was awarded to a former Trump staffer with a total lack of federal contracting and health care experience.

The Navajo Nation deserves the best resources available, but right now they need answers -- and nothing less than the full support of the federal government during this crisis."
