Trump's Unwinding of the Coronavirus Task Force

U.S. Representative Lloyd Doggett (D-TX), Chairman of the House Ways and Means Health Subcommittee, issued the following statement reacting to President Trump's winding down the Coronavirus Task Force:

"With its "task' far from accomplished, and never acting with the "force' required to deliver lifesaving medical gear, testing, or contact tracing, President Trump waves the white flag of surrender and winds down his "task force.' As the death toll soars, it is the task force that gets buried. Trump clearly fears having his outlandish comments contradicted by his own experts more than the deadly virus."
