U.S. Senator John Cornyn (R-TX) today issued the following statement after Minority Leader Charles Schumer (D-NY) and Speaker Nancy Pelosi threatened to block an effort by Majority Leader Mitch McConnell to quickly pass additional funding for the small business rescue loan program:

"Senate Democrats should drop their shameful threat to block this funding immediately. Our small businesses desperately need help -- now."
