On March 13, Congressman Higgins cosigned a letter to House Oversight Committee Chairwoman Carolyn Maloney, requesting a hearing on the threat China poses to domestic supplies of life-saving medicines and medical devices. Read that letter here.
On April 2, Congressman Higgins cosigned a letter to Secretary of State Mike Pompeo requesting information about how the United States is responding to China's propaganda campaign on coronavirus. Read that letter here.
On April 23, Congressman Higgins cosponsored H.R. 6614, the Taxpayers and Savers Protection (TSP) Act, which prohibits sums in the Thrift Savings Fund from being invested in Chinese or other foreign exchanges.
On April 24, Congressman Higgins cosigned a letter to President Trump requesting urgent relief to protect America's food supply and support domestic farmers and ranchers.
Congressman Higgins cosponsored H. Con. Res. 97, which establishes a Joint Select Committee to investigate China's deception on the origins of coronavirus, efforts to cover up its spread, and attempts to maliciously influence the World Health Organization (WHO).
Congressman Higgins cosponsored H.R. 6598, the Secure Our Systems Against China's Tactics (SOS ACT), which protects our national security from the Chinese Communist Party's predatory economic tactics.
Congressman Higgins issued the following statement:
