Congresswoman Sylvia Garcia Announces Health Centers in TX-29 that were Awarded CARES Act Supplemental Funding

Congresswoman Sylvia Garcia (TX-29) announced that five health centers in the 29th Congressional District have been awarded more than $6.6 million in Coronavirus Aid, Relief, and Economic Security (CARES) Act Supplemental Funding to help meet the healthcare needs of people in the district during the ongoing coronavirus (COVID-19) pandemic. The CARES Act is a $2.2 trillion economic relief package passed by Congress and signed into law by the President to financial relief to families who have lost their jobs, help small businesses that have had to close, assist local and state healthcare systems that have been overwhelmed by this outbreak, ensure food security for all Americans, and much more.

The following are the health centers in the district that were awarded supplemental funding:

Pasadena Health Center, Inc. - $677,255
Houston Community Health Centers, Inc. - $756,350
El Centro del Corazon - $907,595
Harris Health System - $942,890
Legacy Community Health Services, Inc. - $3,316,820
"I am pleased to announce that five health centers in my district will be receiving supplemental funding to help meet the healthcare needs of my constituents," said Congresswoman Sylvia Garcia.
