Hoeven Announces $2.5 Million In Funding For Engineers At NHSC

Senator John Hoeven, chairman of the Senate Committee on Indian Affairs and a member of the Senate Appropriations Committee, today announced that the National Science Foundation (NSF) has awarded $2.5 million to Nueta Hidatsa Sahnish College (NHSC). Today's funding, awarded through NSF's Tribal Colleges and Universities Program (TCUP), will support the NHSC Full-Circle Engineering Center of Excellence: Meeting the Engineering needs of the MHA Nation project.

"Today's investments will help students at NHCS pursue education in engineering and foster new STEM employment opportunities, supporting a stronger economy in tribal communities and growing our state's role as a leader in technology development," said Hoeven.
