Rep. Mike Rogers (R-Ala.), House Homeland Security Committee ranking member, released the following statement after President Donald J. Trump invoked the Defense Production Act.
"I'm thankful President Trump invoked the Defense Production Act today. By doing this, he has opened up additional federal resources to help fight the coronavirus outbreak. This action was in direct response to the requests from our healthcare personnel," Ranking Member Rogers said. "This situation demands an all hands on deck approach from both the private and public sectors to combat this outbreak. I want to thank those on the frontline risking their lives to treat the sick and combat this deadly virus."
