Congressman Joe Courtney (CT-02) released the following statement after the Senate voted against calling witnesses and compelling documents in the impeachment proceedings:

"Aside from blocking a ready, willing and able National Security Advisory who was "in the room' from testifying -- and who the vast majority of the American people want to hear from -- 51 Senators have butchered the Article One powers of the Congress in a way that will haunt the future of the American Republic for generations to come."
