Direct Cash Support For Families
Rep. Dean has expressed her support for direct cash support during this challenging time.
"During this devastating public health crisis we must look at bold options to ensure working Americans can continue to support their families, Rep. Dean said. "I strongly support Congress and the White House considering emergency direct cash support to Americans that will lose income during the COVID-19 outbreak and, I will be working to get cash support to Americans as quickly as possible."
Workers Americans impacted by COVID-19
If you are a Pennsylvania worker and unable to work because of COVID-19 you may be eligible for Unemployment or Workers' Compensation benefits.
You may be eligible if:
Your employer temporarily closes or goes out of business because of COVID-19
Your employer reduces your hours because of COVID-19
You have been told not to work because your employer feels you might get or spread COVID-19
You have been told to quarantine or self-isolate, or live/work in a county under government-recommended mitigation efforts

Small Businesses and SBA Loans
Rep. Dean is urging Pennsylvania small businesses affected by the coronavirus crisis to inquire about Small Business Administration loans.
At the beginning of this month, the House appropriated an $8.3 billion package to deal with the COVID-19 crisis. Included in this $8.3 billion was the expansion of small business loans to help deal with this crisis.
Rep. Dean is advising small businesses that seek SBA loans to take the following steps:
Start to collect the information needed to apply for loans. Examples can be found at https://disasterloan.sba.gov/ela/Information/PaperForms, and include documents like tax returns from recent years and balance sheets.
Get the latest information by visiting the SBA's coronavirus website, www.sba.gov/disaster-assistance/coronavirus-covid-19, or calling SBA's national disaster relief line at 1-800-659-2955.
