Senator Collins Announces More Than $9,500,000 for Maine Housing Authorities

U.S. Senator Susan Collins, the Chairman of the Housing Appropriations Subcommittee, announced today that 19 Housing Authorities in Maine will receive a total of $9,529,501 through the U.S. Department of Housing and Urban Development's (HUD) Public Housing Capital Fund Program.

"Maine's housing authorities provide a critical supply of affordable housing and an array of vital services to seniors, individuals with disabilities, and low-income individuals and families," said Senator Collins. "As the Chairman of the Housing Appropriations Subcommittee, I have worked diligently to ensure that housing authorities have the resources to meet the housing needs of our most vulnerable neighbors. This funding will help Maine housing authorities preserve and modernize homes and meet the needs of the individuals and families who live in them."
