Proclamation - Family Week

WHEREAS, families are an essential part of the cultural, social and spiritual fabric that is North Dakota; and

WHEREAS, strong families are at the center of strong communities; and

WHEREAS, everyone has a role to play in making families successful, including neighborhood organizations, businesses, nonprofit agencies, policymakers and families themselves; and

WHEREAS, during Thanksgiving week, North Dakotans are encouraged to honor the importance of families, and recognize the special connections that support, strengthen and enrich families year-round; and

WHEREAS, service providers throughout the state are working to provide assistance and resources to help families build a bright future for themselves and all of North Dakota.

NOW, THEREFORE, as Governor of the State of North Dakota, I do hereby proclaim November 20-26, 2005, FAMILY WEEK in the state of North Dakota.
