Today, U.S. Representative Antonio Delgado (NY-19) visited the Agri-Business Child Development program in Kingston. During the visit, Rep. Delgado learned more about the educational programs for students, toured classrooms, and had a chance to read a book to students.
"Supporting upstate New York's farm economy means ensuring farm worker families have access to affordable, quality childcare and educational resources. The Agri-Business Child Development program has a long history of offering these services to the agricultural community upstate," said Delgado. "Education is the key to opportunity and I'm committed to making sure the Agri-Business Child Development program is supported and has the resources it needs to give our children the brightest future possible."
Agri-Business Child Development in Kingston supports New York State agriculture by providing comprehensive early childhood education to the children of eligible families. Rep. Delgado is committed to supporting family farmers in NY-19. In December, Delgado co-sponsored and voted to pass the bipartisan Farm Workforce Modernization Act, which would ensure upstate New York farmers can access the employees they need through reforms and expansion of the H-2A agricultural guestworker program.
