House Passes Walberg-Backed Bill to Crack Down on Fentanyl

Congressman Tim Walberg (MI-07) voted on Wednesday for bipartisan legislation to extend the Drug Enforcement Administration's ability to combat all fentanyl-related substances. Unless the House took action, this law enforcement tool was set to expire next week.

"Fentanyl is one of the deadliest drugs out there and is ravaging communities in Michigan and across the country," said Walberg. "This bipartisan legislation is an important step to give law enforcement the necessary tools to target traffickers and keep fentanyl-related substances off our streets. Ultimately, we can't let partisanship stand in the way of these changes becoming permanent."
