"Transgender immigrants in ICE custody are subjected to violence and sexual assault at disproportionately high rates and are often denied quality care. This negligence has led to the death of two women in ICE custody, including Roxsana Hernandez Rodriguez in New Mexico.

That's why I'm joining @RepMikeQuigley and 40 of my colleagues to demand that ICE end transgender migrant detention if they are unable to provide quality care or stop the violence happening on their watch.

The Trump administration must care for the individuals in their facilities with dignity, respect, and humanitarian care."
