Today, Congressman Jodey Arrington (TX-19) released the following statement and video message as the House Judiciary Committee began the second phase of House Democrats' baseless impeachment inquiry against President Donald Trump:

"Speaker Pelosi and House Democrats have accomplished nothing with their majority except a new level of political dysfunction in Congress and a dangerous, new precedent of weaponizing impeachment," said Arrington.

"Should Pelosi and the House Democrats move forward with this partisan impeachment charade, I am confident that real justice will be served in the Senate and the American people will see this for what it is -- a political ploy to take down this president."
