Today, Congressman Frank Pallone, Jr. (NJ-06) issued the following statement on House passage of the Restoring Tax Fairness for States and Localities Act:
"The Republican tax scam was a bad deal for New Jersey and all working families trying to make ends meet. It's unacceptable that the GOP tax plan fills the coffers of the wealthy and big corporations as thousands of people in my home state pay for it. I voted in favor of repealing the cap on the state and local tax deduction, because it disproportionally harms New Jersey families. We need a tax code based on fairness that doesn't unfairly punish hardworking New Jerseyans."
