Today, U.S. Representative Ted Budd (R-NC) released the following statement after the passage of H.R. 4634- the Terrorism Risk Insurance Program Reauthorization Act (TRIA) of 2019:
"I applaud my colleagues for passing the Terrorism Risk Insurance Program through the House today in such a strong bipartisan manner. TRIA is a critically important program that protects our nation in the event of major catastrophic terror attacks and it was vital that the House get long-term reauthorization language over to the Senate before going home for Thanksgiving. I urge my Senate friends to pass this language soon and let's get this on the President's desk."
-Rep. Budd was one of the first Republicans to co-sponsor the legislation.
