Representative Josh Harder (CA-10) released the following statement today following the death of former Modesto Councilman Dave Lopez.

"It's always heartbreaking to lose a member of our community like this -- especially someone like Dave who did so much to make the Valley a better place to live. He loved his city and made an important impact by empowering everyday people to make a difference in Modesto.

"Dave was an inspiration and a great advocate for the people he represented. Pam and I send our deepest condolences to his wife, children, and his entire family."
