U.S. Senator Deb Fischer (R-Neb.), a senior member of the Senate Armed Services Committee and the Chairman of the Subcommittee on Strategic Forces, which has jurisdiction of U.S. Strategic Command (STRATCOM), released the following statement today:

"Congratulations to the men and women of STRATCOM on the official opening of their brand new, state-of-the-art headquarters. Today also marks the change of command. I want to thank General Hyten for his steadfast leadership and determination as commander. I'm so pleased I will have the opportunity to continue working with him in his role on the Joint Staff at the Pentagon. Admiral Richard, I welcome you to Nebraska and look forward to working closely with you to keep our nation secure."
