Everglades Restoration to Receive $137 Million in Federal Funds

WASHINGTON—Congressman Mario Diaz-Balart (R-Fla.) today announced that the Energy and Water Appropriations conference agreement contains $137 million for Everglades restoration, including $35 million for Modified Water Delivery Project.

"Ensuring the restoration of a national ecological treasure like Everglades National Park is a major priority for me and critical to our state's future," Diaz-Balart said. "I want to thank Senator Martinez for his leadership and commitment to this important issue as he was instrumentally helpful in securing these funds for the Everglades. I will continue to work with members of the Florida delegation to ensure Everglades restoration is properly funded."
