Today, Governor Pete Ricketts released the eleventh episode of "The Nebraska Way" featuring actor and comedian Larry the Cable Guy (Dan Whitney). During this episode, Larry discusses growing up in Nebraska, his famous Cable Guy persona and entertainment career, his charity the Git-R-Done Foundation, and his love of Husker athletics.
Larry the Cable Guy was born in Pawnee City, Nebraska. He is a comedian, actor, producer, singer, and radio personality. You may have seen or heard him on the Blue Collar Comedy Tour or on the big screen in movies like Cars. He also had his own show on the History Channel called Only in America with Larry the Cable Guy. In addition, Jeff Foxworthy and Larry have a SiriusXM channel together called Jeff and Larry's Comedy Roundup. He also has his own record label--Git-R-Done Records, and he uses that platform to give opportunities to comedians who might not otherwise be heard. He's a multiplatinum recording artist, Grammy nominee, and Billboard award winner. He's also a big-time Nebraska athletics supporter, often seen at various Husker sporting events.
