Rep. Nadler Applauds Passage of Legislative Package to Protect Our National Parks and Public Lands

"I was proud to vote for three bills this week that will protect some of our countries' most cherished and sacred public lands," said Congressman Nadler. "The Trump Administration is engaged in an ongoing effort to put the interests of the mining and drilling industries ahead of conservation by approving the largest reduction of federally protected land in United States history. The bills the House passed this week will protect the treasured Grand Canyon from the destructive impacts of uranium mining, preserve archaeological sites sacred to the All Pueblo Council of Governors and the Navajo Nation, and safeguard 400 acres of public land across Colorado. The House will continue to fight to protect our public lands, the wildlife that depends on them, and the livelihoods of over seven million Americans that work in the outdoor recreation industry."
