Cotton Statement on North Macedonia's Accession into NATO

U.S. Senator Tom Cotton (R-AR) issued the following statement following the Senate's vote ratifying North Macedonia's accession into the North Atlantic Treaty Organization:

"For 70 years, the NATO alliance has served as a cornerstone of America's national security strategy. Defense, intelligence, and diplomatic cooperation with our NATO allies has redounded to the benefit of the United States. Today's vote was a loss for Vladimir Putin, with his revanchist aims in the Balkans, and a gain for NATO's collective security. I look forward to enhancing our nation's ties with North Macedonia in the years to come."
