Rep. Marshall, GOP Leaders Denied Access to Impeachment Evidence

Wednesday morning U.S. Congressman Roger Marshall joined fellow GOP colleagues to demand transparency and access to the ongoing impeachment hearings. Following a press conference, Rep. Marshall, Whip Scalise, and others were again denied access to the Star Chamber, a secure briefing room inside the Capitol and site of all impeachment hearings.

Congressman Marshall issued the following statement:

"As Chairman Schiff and Speaker Pelosi continue their secretive impeachment hearings, we continue to demand fairness and transparency," Dr. Marshall said. "For the second time in two weeks, I was denied access to the Star Chamber. Democrats are restricting access to information and selectively leaking to the press. Chairman Schiff and his Democratic colleagues were in the room today and walked out, refusing to speak with us. Kansans demand transparency in this impeachment circus, and we're not going to stop fighting for it."

Speaker Pelosi opened an impeachment inquiry in the House more than a month ago and to date, Congressman Marshall and colleagues on committees of jurisdiction have been denied access to hearings, testimony, and relevant evidence related the inquiry.
