Today, Rep. Ro Khanna, member of the House Oversight Committee, issued the following statement immediately after the House vote to formalize the procedures for the impeachment inquiry.

"Democrats are going the extra mile to ensure clarity and transparency for the American people throughout this process. This vote was the most recent effort following months of work to pursue the truth and protect our democracy. I commend Speaker Pelosi for her leadership and commitment to an open and fair process. No one, including the President of the United States, is above the law. I will continue to work with my colleagues to hold the President and this administration accountable. I thank all Americans, especially my constituents, who have made their voices heard in this process."
