Governor Mike DeWine issued the following statement upon the death of former State Senator Cooper Snyder.
"Fran and I were so sorry to learn of the death of our friend, Cooper Snyder. He was a pragmatic, common-sense legislator who always stayed close to the people he represented.
"I worked with Cooper Snyder during my time in the Ohio Senate. And our son, Pat, worked for him for six months on one of his campaigns.
"Cooper and his wife, Dorothy, were an amazing team. They were wonderful people. Fran and I are blessed to have been among their friends."
