Today, after President Trump urged two foreign powers, China and Ukraine, to investigate his political rival, U.S. Senator Jack Reed (D-RI), an ex officio member of the Senate Intelligence Committee, issued the following statement:
"President Trump's request for China and Ukraine to investigate a fellow American citizen is just plain wrong. His words and behavior on this matter are doing a profound disservice to the American people. It's time for President Trump to put the focus on helping Americans instead of trying to help himself."
