Arrington Applauds President Trump's Executive Order to Improve, Strengthen and Protect Medicare

Today, Congressman Jodey Arrington (TX-19) released the following statement on President Trump's executive order to provide more choice, eliminate waste, fraud, and abuse, and lower costs for Medicare beneficiaries in West Texas and across the country:

"While Democrats focus on promoting a complete government takeover of our health care system by putting Washington first, the Trump Administration is continuing to put Americans first by taking action to provide Medicare beneficiaries with greater choice, expanded access, and less bureaucracy so that seniors have the freedom to choose the health care they need and deserve," said Arrington.

"I applaud President Trump and Secretary Azar for their leadership in crafting today's executive order, which will increase access to quality care for Medicare beneficiaries in rural America through expanded services, such as telehealth. Like we've seen with the innovation in Medicare Advantage, which has significantly reduced premiums and expanded services for our seniors, promoting choice, competition, and transparency -- NOT socialized medicine -- is the key to achieving greater access to quality, affordable health care."
