Today, Senator Rick Scott released an episode of his series in partnership with the Heritage Foundation: How Washington Wastes Your Money.
Today's episode focuses on zero-based budgeting. Government should be transparent and held accountable for how they spend taxpayer money. Every year, the federal government should examine the budget, item by item, to make sure the programs being funded - with taxpayer money - are getting a good return on investment. Senator Scott is focused on reforming the budget process so it works more effectively and efficiently for all Americans.
