Rosen Addresses Center for Excellence in Education, Highlights Bipartisan Building Blocks of STEM Act

Yesterday, U.S. Senator Jacky Rosen, a member of the Senate Committee on Health Education, Labor and Pensions (HELP), addressed the Center for Excellence in Education (CEE), a non-profit organization that supports high school and college students in achieving successful careers in STEM, and in fulfilling leadership roles. During her remarks, Senator Rosen discussed her bipartisan Building Blocks of STEM Act.

"The work CEE does each day is critical in creating the next generation of American scientists, engineers, inventors, and leaders," said Senator Rosen. "Despite the increase in STEM career opportunities, there aren't enough students out there who have the necessary STEM skills to work in these jobs. That's why, earlier this year, I introduced the bipartisan Building Blocks of STEM Act, legislation that will help ensure that our children are prepared with the education necessary to succeed in a 21st-century economy, while also taking steps to close the gender gap in STEM."
