Today, the @NRDems held the first hearing on the #StopAct which @MartinHeinrich & I introduced -- bipartisan legislation to protect Tribal items from trafficking.
It is unacceptable to profit off the illegal trafficking of these sacred items -- items that are central to Tribal culture and identity.
In a state like New Mexico with 23 different Tribal nations, this legislation is especially critical."
