Yesterday, Representative Gilbert R. Cisneros, Jr. (CA-39) hosted a resource fair in celebration of Hispanic Heritage Month, as well as recognized Hispanic community members in the fields of education, community service, and small business. The resource fair also included services provided by non-profit organizations in the areas of healthcare, education, immigration, emergency management, and 2020 census information.
"As a proud Latino in our community, it's an honor to celebrate the important contributions that Hispanic Americans have made to our great nation during Hispanic Heritage Month," said Rep. Gil Cisneros. "It was an honor to host a kick off the celebration in Hacienda Heights and assist our residents with a resource fair to help our constituents navigate the laws that affect our diverse community."
These local leaders were nominated by their community and recognized in the 39th District by the Congressman: Tonantzin Oseguera, Ed.D. and Nancy Ruano, for the Education Awards, Lucy Vera Pedregon and Letty Gali, for the Community Service Awards, as well as Stache House Barbershop and Tlaquepaque Mexican Restaurant for the Small Business Awards.
Rep. Cisneros is a member of the Congressional Hispanic Caucus and the Task Forces on Education and Labor, Diversity, and Veterans and Armed Services.
