Today, Governor Pete Ricketts released the seventh episode of "The Nebraska Way" featuring Matt Davison, Associate Athletic Director for Husker football. During this episode, Davison talks about his time playing for the Huskers, his career as a radio personality, and his expectations for the Husker football team this season.
Davison, a Nebraska native from Tecumseh, is a former Nebraska High School Athlete of the Year who went on to play football and basketball at the University. He was a teammate of current Husker football coach Scott Frost and played under Husker legend Tom Osborne. Before he joined Frost's staff, Davison worked in the medical sales field but stayed involved in Husker athletics as a color commentator for the Husker Sports Network's football and men's basketball radio broadcasts. Along with being a part of the 1997 national championship team, he might best be known for his incredible catch that season against Missouri where he caught a touchdown pass from Frost that deflected off Shevin Wiggins' foot and forced overtime.
