Governor Ron DeSantis Encourages Vigilance; Hurricane Dorian Path Remains Uncertain

Today, Governor Ron DeSantis continued to monitor Hurricane Dorian's trajectory with state, local and national weather experts as the storm's path remains uncertain. The Governor continues to be in constant communication with Division of Emergency Management (DEM) Director Jared Moskowitz and county emergency management directors.

"While the storm's path is generally more favorable compared to yesterday, we can't let our guard down," said Governor DeSantis. "I appreciate the hard work of our local, state and federal emergency management professionals as we continue to do everything necessary to prepare for this storm. Floridians and their families along the East Coast should have a plan and continue to heed all warnings."

"Hurricane Dorian is continuing to show us how unpredictable it can be," said DEM Director Jared Moskowitz. "This morning the tracks shifted east and this afternoon they shifted once again west. It is vital that we continue to be prepared, that's why we are continuing to work closely with our federal and local partners to stage and deploy resources to areas that may be impacted."
