Today, the U.S. Department of Labor released its July 2019 Employment Situation Report, showing that 164,000 jobs were added last month, the unemployment rate remained at 3.7%, and wage growth from last year ticked up 3.2%. Congressman Biggs issued the following statement:
"President Trump and his administration continue to find ways to build upon the historic "Tax Cuts and Jobs Act' and deregulatory actions from the past 2.5 years, and countless Americans are benefiting. This administration believes that the American people, and not government bureaucrats, should be the masters of their own economic destinies. The results each month are proving this strategy to be correct. I encourage my Democrat colleagues to join the President and Republicans in championing the pro-growth policies that are contributing to this sustained economic momentum."
