ADERHOLT ANNOUNCES FEDERAL FUNDS TO FIGHT METH PROBLEM

"This funding is good news for law enforcement and bad news for those using, producing, and selling meth," said Congressman Aderholt.

WASHINGTON, DC -- Congressman Robert Aderholt (R-Haleyville) today announced the House passage of the conferenced Fiscal Year 2006 Science, Departments of State, Justice, Commerce, and Related Agencies (SSJC) Appropriations Bill. This bill includes funding for programs that will help further fight the methamphetamine (meth) problem in Alabama.

"We are all aware of the problems meth has caused in our state. Fighting this epidemic is a priority of Alabama law enforcement, at the state and local level. The funding provided in this bill will provide the means to continue and enhance the valuable programs that are making progress in ridding us of this crisis," said Congressman Aderholt.
