Senator Tom Cotton (R-Arkansas) released the following statement on the president's announcement for the United States to cease F-35 sales to Turkey:

"Halting F-35 sales to Turkey is a painful but necessary decision by the president. America simply cannot send its most advanced military technology to countries where adversaries like Russia will have access to it."
