Rep. Frankel Votes in Support of Humanitarian Assistance for Children and Families at the Border

Statement

Date: June 27, 2019
Location: Washington, DC
Issues: Immigration

Today, Appropriations Committee member Representative Lois Frankel (FL-21) released the following statement after voting to send necessary resources to support the children and families being held in detention centers on our southern border:

"We must send immediate relief and aid to children living in inhumane conditions on our southern border. The cruel treatment they have suffered goes against our American values and all human decency. Although the legislation is not perfect, we are providing hurting boys and girls with critical resources like diapers, food, and medicine. My vote is for the children."
