Today, Governor Pete Ricketts issued a statement following news that final state general fund tax receipts for Fiscal Year 2018-19 exceeded projections by $176 million.
"Nebraska closed out this fiscal year in a strong financial position with substantial revenue growth in the last few months. With the two-year budget in place, continued growth sets Nebraska on a path to property tax relief. As Senators and I work together over the summer, this is a big opportunity to leverage our state's growth into significant property tax relief for our farmers, ranchers, and homeowners."
