"This spring's devastating flooding remains top of mind for me. It's something I discussed directly w/@POTUS last week. I encouraged him to extend the incident period for #Iowa's fed disaster declaration so areas impacted by more recent flooding are eligible for fed assistance.
I'm so glad to say the president heard our call and, just yesterday, his administration announced they'd be extending the incident period. It's not common for FEMA to reopen an incident period, so this is really welcome news."
