"Two weeks ago, I visited the Heartland Alliance's Marjorie Kovler Center in Chicago with @janschakowsky to meet with refugees who fled the mounting violence in Cameroon. They told harrowing stories of the ongoing violence there."

"Last year, I sent a letter to Secretary Pompeo with @ChrisVanHollen urging him to monitor the unrest in Cameroon. I was pleased to see the Admin scale back the level of U.S. military assistance to Cameroon in light of the government's violent repression of minority populations."

"The work of the Kovler Center is an important reminder that we must stand up for human rights wherever they are threatened. I'll continue to monitor the level of violence in Cameroon carefully, especially if the day comes where we consider any foreign aid to this nation."
