"Mr. Kacsmaryk has not been shy about his hostility to marriage equality or transgender Americans. In 2015, he wrote an article on the pending Obergefell case, speculating whether the Supreme Court would "invent a constitutional right to same sex marriage.""

"In 2016, Mr. Kacsmaryk signed a letter that called being transgender "a delusion." He's also been quoted as saying that "the pro-marriage movement must prepare for the long war." He publicly criticized the Obergefell decision after it was issued."

"Even given his record of blatant opposition to LGBTQ rights, Mr. Kacsmaryk has said he won't recuse himself from any cases involving those very same rights.

I oppose this nomination -- yet another extreme Trump nominee who in no way deserves a lifetime appointment."
